However, Heretic Lizzie and Aurora are too busy getting intel from God Jen through the bribe of tacos and \"special\" brownies. The new vampire duo learns that Jen once was asked by her father -- the father of the gods -- to make armor for their protection. It turns out that the gods did have something to fear after all. Since the gods derive their powers from people's belief in them, there was nothing more terrifying to them than the threat of Malivore, a creation that could erase gods from the minds of every being.
Landon has a booth set up to help trapped souls to get to peace, as per his service to Zied. The Necromancer sits atop the booth, complaining about their new insufferable overlord. Landon tries to compromise with him. If they help Zied get to peace, then they'll be free of him. The Necromancer has a counterpoint, believing that maybe it's better to not let things go and to hold on to the past. He proclaims to the passerbyers that forgiveness is for suckers. Landon realizes that he's trying to get them fired. The only way to get out of a terrible job is to suck at it. Besides, they're already dead and he believes there's nothing worse Zied can do to them.
Kaleb reviews Wade's scores of his and MG's powers. He believes that he's been done dirty by Wade, but he assures him that it's only preliminary guesses, such as that MG's only slightly faster than Kaleb. They'll need to run some tests to confirm the stats. Wade also notes that, given his dragon powers, he has a plus-20 to defense and a plus-40 for offense. In a straight fight, he could definitely beat MG, provided that he catches him. Next on the roster is Ethan; he has the teleportation and intangibility of a Pukwudgie, though believes the invisibility comes from another monster. Professor Vardemus asks for a demonstration, though Ethan still cannot control his powers and cannot teleport across the room. Cleo is up next, though Wade's stat sheet is out of date, given her new circumstances. She tells them she's basically human and though she's not as impressive without using her magic, she still wants to fight. Professor Vardemus commends her courage. Ben would also like to help, though he's forbidden from fighting against his family due to his father's curse. He offers that he can tell them what they would do in a fight and that he should play the side of the enemy in this game. Hope is the last one remaining to test, though she declines. She's had Wade draw up a new, humanity-off, stat sheet. He explains that she's basically the perfect fighter. Hop has incredible magical power levels, unencumbered by morality, with no discernible weaknesses. Her humanity, however, appears to her, noting that she's seeing people who aren't really there.
Rupert and the others run through several more simulations, each time they fail against the gods. Hope's humanity tells her she's going about it all wrong because they've already lost before they made the first move. Analyzing their enemies, Hope realizes the problem is that they're going first. They're facing them all at once and they should be forcing the gods to fight them. Hope declines the first move and Ben sends in Aurora to attack Hope first. Hope creates a barrier that throws Aurora off her feet. Hope sends in Kaleb, using his dragon fire. Aurora is killed and Hope has MG vamp to Lizzie. Ben has Ken attack MG, but Wade reads from the manticulum that he's just fast enough to save Lizzie.
Taking a break, Hope pours herself a drink but hears Ethan, invisible, behind her. He explains that they've had a breakthrough. Hope questions how many they've lost, but surprisingly, they've lost none. Dr. Saltzman realized why none of their attacks were working. Instead of using their powers, they need to take theirs away. He believes if they can buy Lizzie enough time to turn her back to their side, she can siphon a god, hence why she needs to be saved. She siphoned Jen and it weakened her enough that he could teleport her off the board and out of the fight. Should Ethan pull off the jump, Ken is the last remaining piece on the board. Now, they need her help to make the next move.
Running through another simulation, Hope has everyone attack Ken. Wade reads off the probability; they all die, but they do real damage against him. She moves in to attack next, though Rupert tells her that she's still not enough and he defeats her. Hope's humanity questions if she needs her help and she barks back, telling her to shut up. The others look at her, questioning the outburst. Hope wants more cannon fodder, questioning how many students there's at the school. Kaleb, however, is finished with the simulations. She's been running them into the buzz saw all day like they're expendable, citing that she only cares about herself. He declares this version of her isn't worth dying for and walks out with the others.
Alone, she and her humanity talk. She yells at her humanity, but she only quips that she should keep her voice down otherwise people will think she's crazy. Her humanity tells her that she didn't go far enough and that alone is the exact way she can't do it. Like it or not, she needs her humanity. Hope retorts that she's the same humanity of the weak little girl who was manipulated by two different fake Landons and then couldn't bring herself to kill the real one. She doesn't need anything from her humanity. Except for a way to win the game. Hope will have to listen to her humanity to win.
Lizzie is shocked to see her father alive. Her dad's already back and she believes that this whole plan is pointless, but if she doesn't go through with it, then their blood pact will kill her. Aurora reassures her that it wouldn't. She wouldn't consider her quitting a betrayal and tells Lizzie to go to her father. If she could have Tristan back, she wouldn't let some silly brand keep her from that. Lizzie thinks it a trick and Aurora, at one time, would have tricked her, but she reiterates Lizzie words. She's trying to be a better person. Lizzie, however, doesn't go to Alaric. She questions if raising Chronos doesn't work, what would she do. Aurora will do whatever she has to do, including raising Ken. If she does that, then Lizzie will be forced to tell her father, to which Aurora would consider a betrayal. Aurora offers her a choice: to stop now and risk losing everything or keep going and to help her raise a better god and see it through to the end.
Jessie was the only contestant selected to be a team captain, so she gets to pick 4 contestants in a row, leaving 5 remaining as a team, and Jessie will get to select their team captain for them. A very interesting move.
Finally, Bri, the vegetarian, has her very first 3 attempts at cooking chicken evaluated by the judges. Her pan fried chicken needed 4 more minutes of cooking. Her fried chicken batter is good, but the chicken meat is very raw. And her stuffed breast is cooked through, but the sauce is excessively buttery.
Booth finds himself in a holding cell. He uses the glow of his watch to create light. The team goes to Booth's apartment to look for clues. Bones sees that Booth was dragged out through his window. Angela says they need the police's help. Sweets says they can't call them (the police) if they want to get Booth back.
Bones asks Hodgins if he has the Gravedigger evidence. He says the Gravedigger thinks she has the evidence, but she's wrong. Hodgins unveils the evidence, including material that was embedded in his leg when the Gravedigger ran him over. Sweets arrives and Bones tells him he can't help since he's part of the FBI. Bones then scolds Hodgins for stealing evidence. Hodgins says it was the only way he could solve the case. Hodgins asks for 10 hours to study the evidence, then he'll turn it over. Bones agrees to eight.
The water fills up the room, but Booth is able to climb to a catwalk. Booth looks for another way out. Teddy goes into the water and retrieves a pry bar. Booth uses the bar to open a door. Booth and Teddy walk through the door and find another room. Booth tells Teddy he must be a ghost since he was able to help him. Booth then looks around the room and sees he is locked in a cage. Teddy instructs Booth on how to pick the lock. Teddy asks Booth if he has any kids and Booth tells him he has a son named Parker, named after him. Booth tells Teddy about his son and his son's mom. Booth then looks out a window and realises he's on a ship. Teddy points out that the ship is wired with explosives.
Booth flashes back to when Teddy was killed. He tells Teddy he shouldn't gone on the mission because it was beyond his abilities. Teddy asks Booth about his partner, and Booth says he would like her. Booth then wires the explosives to try to send out a signal. He shorts it out and breaks it. Teddy tells Booth that there is now no way to stop the explosion. Teddy says the only way to escape is to jump into the ocean. Teddy says if Booth dies, he dies too since no one else remembers him. Booth tells Teddy that Claire goes to his grave every year on the anniversary of his death. Teddy then asks Booth to tell Claire he loves her since he never got the chance. Teddy then suggests that he is there because Booth has someone that he never told he loved them.
Hodgins tells the team that Taffet won't talk, and they need to figure out a way to get her to open up. Hodgins tells Taffet he wants to kill her. Jared then tells Taffet that he went through her files. He says he knows she created a false identity to rent a storage locker.
For instance, Morgan takes center stage in Episode 14, 'MM 54.' He is blamed for getting them into the mess with Martha, the new bad guy (whose backstory this episode was lame and unconvincing.) Morgan is blamed and then tasked with finding a solution. His solution is to go to a hospital in what appears to be Austin, TX. The hospital is unsurprisingly swarming with the undead. They find a safe area but soon the zombies break through and they have to escape.
One of the few plot points that remain unresolved is the conflict with Opie. Jax has asked him to come back, but in the final scene in Church, Opie is not there. I would have been disappointed had he been there. After all Opie has been through, it would have taken a very forgiving man to sit at that table. The only other large unresolved plot point is obviously that Clay is still breathing, but I can imagine that particular point will take a back seat in the next series. 59ce067264
