Razor 1911 was founded in March 1983. They began releasing games on their Bulletin Board System, shortly before being caught by the Norwegian police (Operasjon bukanna). In March 1994, they were caught by the French police (operations Fastlink and Ultrafast) when several members were arrested in Lyon for the distribution of commercial games. The group disbanded from the Autumn of 1994, and some of its members, among them Ola Skogset, worked at Citibank Norway until 1998. They re-emerged in 2002, worked in Porsgrunn in Norway and distributed game magazines, such as VICE, Carnage and Passwort. Skogset continued working at Citibank Norway and in 2003 he became the co-owner of a company that sells PC games and of a magazine that has very little to do with games, at least in print. Razor 1911 has published two games for the PC. They are part of the group CODEX, and one of them, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, was cracked on 01/05/2017, two years before the Denuvo cracking era. The other game of CODEX, one for Linux called Surreal Mode II, was released on 01/05/2010 and was cracked on 01/05/2017, too. In the meantime they used Denuvo with a notable success. In 2019 they published the games again, Dark Souls III and Borderlands 3.
When I saw the trailer for the film, I was skeptical. I thought, “Under the current craze of celluloid young male escapism.” And yet, this is not that film. This is a story with heart, spirit and soul. This film is a story about an epic love and tragedy. Director Sriram Raghavan could have chosen to make it a sweeping epic but he has made it a story that is much more nuanced and real family drama. This makes it infinitely more important and precious. Director Sriram Raghavan has studied the cultures of India with great care and sensitivity. He has captured the sacredness of India, that rich heritage that you rarely hear in Hollywood. In any case, this is a wonderful message for anyone who has ever been told that their culture is "old". This is about an Indian prince who choses to defy tradition, and yet learns about India from the people he meets along the way. d2c66b5586
