Red Baron: Western Front Download PC Game
Red Baron is a flight simulator game set in World War I, on the western front. It offers three game modes: dogfight, single mission or career mode, I suggest the latest. In career mode, you can choose to fly as a pilot for the German or the British. There are 17 different aircraft from both sides to choose from, including the Fokker E.I Eindecker, the Fokker Dr.I Triplane, the Sopwith Camel, Albatros D.II and a lot more. You start as a wingman, and then you can advance through the ranks, taking command of a small group of planes of variable size and types.
The game is set on the Western Front of World War I. The player can engage in single missions or career mode, flying for either the German Air Service or the Royal Flying Corps. In the course of the game the player might find themselves either flying in the Red Baron's squadron Jasta 11, or encountering him as an enemy above the front.
Sierra acquired Dynamix while Red Baron was being developed, and it became the first game in Dynamix's "Great Warplanes Series" that Sierra published. The press discussed the competition between Red Baron and MicroProse's Knights of the Sky.[6] In 1997, Sierra officially released the 16-color version of Red Baron as a free download on their website as a promotion.[7]
All you got is your little machine guns on the front of your plane. The game is much fun, all though it's rather difficult and might scare away new players. So my advice is that you give the game a second chance when you try it out.
The front-end structure of the game is going to be familiar to anyone who's played any Sierra simulation. There'll be the bevvy of single historic missions (user definable, as always), instant dogfighting shenanigans (with enemy aces of your own choosing), and then, of course, the meat of the game - the full-blown 1914-18 campaign (containing the aforementioned fmv fests, and missions taken from a historical database).Possibly more brilliant than all of this, though, are going to be the network and modem options. At last!
Ace Academy: Skies of Fury was developed in partnership with SEED Interactive and released through Illumination Games, a game publishing company. Skies of Fury is available for download on the App Store and on Google Play alongside the other apps in the trilogy: Ace Academy, and Ace Academy: Black Flight.
Sierra released this game as freeware in 1997 to promote the sequel, but did not also release the rarer Mission Builder add-on disk that allows you to make your own missions - see the screenshot above. You can find both the game and the Mission Builder disk in our download here :) 781b155fdc
