Context: when using Excel the >file>options window will not appear when selected, the screen blinks then reverts to the excel document. This works as intended in Word (all part of the same Office suite)
In addition to measures of time, quality, and performance and service, companies must remain sensitive to the cost of their products. But customers see price as only one component of the cost they incur when dealing with their suppliers. Other supplier-driven costs range from ordering, scheduling delivery, and paying for the materials; to receiving, inspecting, handling, and storing the materials; to the scrap, rework, and obsolescence caused by the materials; and schedule disruptions (expediting and value of lost output) from incorrect deliveries. An excellent supplier may charge a higher unit price for products than other vendors but nonetheless be a lower cost supplier because it can deliver defect-free products in exactly the right quantities at exactly the right time directly to the production process and can minimize, through electronic data interchange, the administrative hassles of ordering, invoicing, and paying for materials.
Managers at ECI determined that submicron technology capability was critical to its market position. They also decided that they had to focus on manufacturing excellence, design productivity, and new product introduction. The company developed operational measures for each of these four internal business goals.
That feedback and empowerment had visible results. When, for example, a hydrogen compressor failed, a supervisor on the midnight shift ordered an emergency repair crew into action. Previously, such a failure of a noncritical component would have been reported in the shift log, where the department manager arriving for work the following morning would have to discover it. The midnight shift supervisor knew the cost of losing the hydrogen gas and made the decision that the cost of expediting the repairs would be repaid several times over by the output produced by having the compressor back on line before morning.
Great article. Has sorted some of my errors out but i was wondering if its at all possible to create a table from excel into indesign with images and be able to update the spreadsheet afterwards and it will automatically update the indesign file? I can use a script to do the table but it loses the ability to link back to the source (spreadsheet) so i have to manually update the indesign file too.
Amazon S3 Standard, S3 Standard-IA, S3 Intelligent-Tiering, and S3 Glacier Instant Retrieval, S3 Glacier Flexible Retrieval, and S3 Glacier Deep Archive storage classes redundantly store your objects on multiple devices across a minimum of three Availability Zones (AZs) in an Amazon S3 Region before returning SUCCESS. The S3 One Zone-IA storage class stores data redundantly across multiple devices within a single AZ. These services are designed to sustain concurrent device failures by quickly detecting and repairing any lost redundancy, and they also regularly verify the integrity of your data using checksums.
Thank you for the reply but your suggestion doesn't work. When I log off of the Windows 7 system and log back in, I have to run a repair on my Acrobat XI each time but it works just fine on Windows 10. Acrobat XI update 19.
Also, it seems some changes are getting reflected once you repair the app. And once you restart the machine those changes are reverted back to faulty ones. This may happen if your machine user profile resets by group policies or policies set by your IT on your machine.
I am having the same error dialogue occur when trying to prepare a pdf form from a word document in Acrobat Pro DC (Version 2017.012.20098), running Windows 7. This is part of the Creative Cloud suite and was installed & updated through the desktop app, so I can't use the cleaner tool to uninstall. I have tried uninstalling and repairing (by following the dialogue and through the steps you outlined above) without success. Please advise on what I can do next--thanks!
I have also done repairs and re-installs of both MS Office and Acrobat without success. I'm aware there are also work arounds that will work, but for a user who does upwards of 20 documents a day, being able to right click and convert a selection of documents is an incredible time saver.
Self-driving databases use cloud-based technology and machine learning to automate many of the routine tasks required to manage databases, such as tuning, security, backups, updates, and other routine management tasks. With these tedious tasks automated, database administrators are freed up to do more strategic work. The self-driving, self-securing, and self-repairing capabilities of self-driving databases are poised to revolutionize how companies manage and secure their data, enabling performance advantages, lower costs, and improved security.
This only works with files with the proper .CSV extension. My app was to produce CSV output with a .ACC extension, and trying to open that in excel with the method above, leads you to completely different excel corners :-( 2b1af7f3a8
